Black Hawk Down review

Does everybody here remember “Pearl Harbor”? I know I do! That movie was such a pathetic display of American patriotism, everbody left the theatre puking.
I was expecting the same thing with “Black Hawk Down”. And after I realised that Mr. Ridley Scott was gonna direct it, my hopes were totally gone.
Ridley Scott is the winner of the “ Most overated director” award, and of course the “Most overated film” award for “Gladiator”. I mean it was an enteraining film, but come on! Russel Crow better than Tom Hanks? Best effects? Best Film? peeeeeeleeaasseee!. And when a director accomplishes it to fuck up the best thriller ever (Silence of the Lambs) with a sequel that was so lame and so fake, he deserves to die.
So I wasn’t expecting much, I put a basket beside me while watching and I sat down.

IT TOTALLY ROCKED!!!!!!!!

I mean, Ridley Scott still sucks ass, and should still die, but at least he did one cool thing before dying.
This movie is really cool, it has a shitload of famous actors (Ewan McGegor, Josh Hartnett, Eric Bana, Tom Sizemore, Orlando Bloom and a lot of other military boys.) amazing action, that is filmed by some of the best camera-work I’ve ever seen, perfect editing (won the oscar for it) and whole lot of baddies.

But the number one reason this flick is so cool is: It doesn’t star a chick!!!
Finally people realise, chicks and war don’t mix. The result is a film that no idiot would bring his girlfriend to, but it doesn’t matter it’s totally cool.
It has some sad moments, and dramatic deaths. You’ll cry, you’ll laugh. But in the end your totally satisfied.

In the end however, there’s an little sense of patriotism, but not for the USA, but more like all western countries vs. terrorism. You would almost think this movie was made after Afghanistan, maybe it is.......if you know, let me know. HE! I’m not the critic here! Don’t look at me like that! Not like I know everything! No I’m not gonna look it up, you just tell me if you know. Thanks peeps!

Oh, and one more thing, Ewan McGregor talking American is really funny. They should’ve made him a Scottish soldier or something because this is really silly.

Now, it’s time for the almighty fainal judgement of P-Boy, everybody step back.!!!!

4,5/5 Supa P-Boy Stars.!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s because Ewan McGregor’s accent and the fact that I don’t know if it was made before/after Afghanistan. They should have told me in the credits.......now they’ll have to settle with 4,5 stars. :P
